  • Jigra Trailer: How Far Will Alia Bhatt Go To Save Brother Vedang Raina?

    Her world is good, bad, ugly and everything in between. The trailer of Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film Jigra released on Thursday and it is everything you will expect it to be – dark, intense and still replete with love. The trailer begins with Satya (Alia) receiving a phone call from her brother Ankur (Vedang Raina), who has been arrested in a foreign land. As Ankur braves through the extremities of the prison, Satya does everything to get him out of there. At one point, she is about to slit her wrist to get him out on the grounds of a medical emergency in the family.

    Satya’s journey to get her brother out will be anything but easy. She flies through oceans, fights in forests, mercilessly navigates through obstacles with nothing but a whole lot of jigra (courage). At the end of the trailer, Satya says, “I never said I am the right person. I am just Ankur’s sister.” That’s the Jigra trailer for you.

    Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra also features Manoj Pahwa. It has been produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt and Somen Mishra and it has been Co-produced by Marijke de Souza. The film has been written by Debashish Irengbam and Vasan Bala. Jigra will release in theatres on October 11.

  • New Trailer: Keeping Up With Alanna Panday, Alaviaa Jaaferi And The Tribe’s Life In LA

    The Tribe is set to premiere on Prime Video on October 4. This reality show features content creators, including Alanna Panday, Alaviaa Jaaferi, Srushti Porey, Aryaana Gandhi and Alfia Jafry. Digital evangelist investor Hardik Zaveri will also be seen in the series. On Friday, Karan Johar, who serves as the executive producer of The Tribe, released the highly anticipated trailer on Instagram. The Tribe centres around five content creator girls who will live together in a house in LA to create content and earn money. Their living situation, combined with professional rivalry, is expected to lead to arguments, fights and plenty of drama. The trailer also features a glimpse of Jaaved Jaaferi, who appears to be unhappy with his daughter Alaviaa Jaaferi’s career choice.

    Sharing the trailer, KJo wrote, “India to Los Angeles! Here’s your front row ticket into the GLAMOROUS world of the Tribe.”

    Meanwhile, Karan Johar will also be working on another Prime Video project. He will host the upcoming reality show The Traitors. It is an Indian adaptation of the 2023 IDTV show of the same title. The Traitors will pit twenty players against each other in a game of deceit and trust in hopes of winning a hefty cash prize. The monetary reward will be awarded to the player who successfully completes a variety of psychological and physical assignments. Sharing the news on Instagram, Karan wrote, “It’s so treacherous, you’ll sleep with one eye open. The Traitors on Prime, now filming for Prime Video.”

    The trailer of Ballerina is out and it delivers a thrilling glimpse into the action-packed world of the John Wick universe with Ana de Armas stepping into the spotlight as Eve Macarro, a Ruska Roman ballerina on a relentless quest for vengeance. Set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, this spinoff promises to deepen the lore surrounding its fierce female assassin, previously seen in a brief cameo.

    The trailer teases Eve’s harrowing backstory –  her family was brutally murdered by a group of hitmen – and showcases her formidable combat skills. From slicing through foes with an ice skate to wielding a flamethrower, Ana de Armas’ role looks intense. The action sequences look as exhilarating as fans have come to expect from the franchise, blending graceful ballet moves with brutal fighting scenes.

Get ready for an action-packed, adrenaline pumping, colorful, joyous ride that will brighten your Diwali. The trailer of Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited Singham Again was released today. The cop universe gets bigger and better with the new entrants Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff. Rohit Shetty gives an intriguing spin to his good-evil story with loads of references from the Ramayana.  Singham AKA Ajay Devgn is portrayed as Lord Rama, Ranveer Singh appears as Hanuman and Tiger Shroff takes up the role of Laxman.

    The trailer opens with Kareena Kapoor (Avni Kamat) narrating to her son how Ram fought for Sita and travelled 3000 km to Sri Lanka to rescue her. When the son shows doubt if his father will ever do such a heroic thing for his mother, Ajay Devgn quips, “Google pe Bajirao Singham type kar le, pata chal jayega tera baap kaun hai (Please type Bajirao Singham on Google. You will get to know who your father is.) The story propels around the abduction of Kareena Kapoor by the deadly Arjun Kapoor. Ajay Devgn won’t spare anyone until he saves his wife from the hands of evil powers. Meet the big army of Singham – Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao (Ranveer Singh), Veer Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), Shakti Shetty (Deepika Padukone) and Tiger Shroff.

    Deepika seems to portray idiosyncrasies like that of Ranveer Singh’s character. Deepika and Ranveer are entrusted with the comic lines while Tiger Shroff will be seen in the action mode. The trailer also encapsulates the spirit of Maratha prowess and valour, which is a signature trait of the Rohit Shetty directorial. See the full trailer here:

  • Citadel: Honey Bunny Trailer: Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu And The Death Trap

    It’s time for our desi spies to grab the limelight. The much-awaited trailer of Raj-DK’s Citadel Honey Bunny was released today and it made good on a promise the makers made earlier. The trailer introduces the protagonists stuntman Bunny (Varun Dhawan) and struggling actress Honey (Samantha). Needless to say, the trailer is an action-packed ride where guns and bullets are fired from every direction. Honey and Bunny had a past. When they reunite, they fight to protect their young daughter Nadia. Interestingly, Priyanka Chopra, who headlined the UK version of Citadel was named Nadia in the series. The trailer ends with a crisp line by Nadia, “Everyone is dying or getting killed. I am still a kid, you know.” Raj and DK infused the trailer with a good dose of humour and punch lines. Take a look:

    At the teaser launch event, Varun Dhawan talked about Samantha’s determination and grit as she had to undergo tough times in terms of her illness during the shoot. “Honestly, my preparation was very easy compared to Samantha’s. It’s public knowledge what she was battling when she joined the show. I thought my rehearsals were tough, but then I saw her incredible work ethic despite her struggles, and it truly inspired me. We became partners in making things happen.” FYI, Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed in 2022 that she had been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis.

  • Do Patti Trailer: Kajol Is All Set To Solve A Curious Case Of Two Kriti Sanons

    Kriti Sanon’s first project as a producer, titled Do Patti, will release on Netflix next week. The trailer of the film was released today and it promises an intriguing ride with Kajol and Kriti Sanon. The trailer begins with Kajol, a tough cop, who won’t leave a case until she solves it in her own way. Kajol is entrusted with a curious case of an attempted murder involving Kriti Sanon (Soumya) and Shaheer Sheikh (Dhruv). But, there are two Kriti Sanons and the case is not so simple. Soumya, a demure woman, falls for the charming Dhruv and their love story is one of a kind.

    Soumya’s twin Shailee enters the scene and she has an eye on Dhruv. In one scene, Shailee challenges Soumya, “Dhruv ko tune pa liya, par usse rakh payegi (You have got Dhruv. Will you be able to keep him with you?”). Shailee creates havoc in Soumya-Dhruv’s conjugal life and the twisted tale of love triangle gets darker and messier with the passage of time. Who is the villain – the demure Soumya, who is labelled as “mentally unstable” by her husband, the evil Shailee, who won’t stop until she gets Dhruv or Dhruv, who has relationships with both the sisters? Will Kajol be able to unearth the real culprit?

    Sharing the trailer on Instagram feed, Kriti Sanon wrote, “My first as a producer! My first with a double role.. one of my most challenging roles.. This butterfly’s kattha is too special..   • Dune: Prophecy Trailer – Don’t Blink Or You’ll Miss Tabu’s Appearance

    Step into the vast, mystical sands of Arrakis, where the whispers of prophecy echo through time. The makers of Dune: Prophecy recently dropped its trailer. In the trailer, viewers are transported back 10,000 years before the legendary tale unfolds and dives deep into the origins of the Bene Gesserit order amidst an Imperium-wide conflict. It introduces viewers to Valya and Tula Harkonnen, played by Emily Watson and Olivia Williams respectively, who manoeuvre through the shadows to influence the path of the Imperium and ultimately seek to place a Bene Gesserit sister on the throne. The visuals also feature the infamous sandworms and echoes of the Butlerian Jihad. The portrayal of the Bene Gesserit in their formative years reveals their political machinations and sheds light on a different chapter for the Harkonnen family as they seek to reclaim power after a devastating galactic war. Tabu, as Sister Francesa, makes a brief appearance in the trailer.

    Showrunner Alison Schapker teased the series’ backdrop, stating, “We are in the shadow of the wars” following the fight against AI, with thinking machines outlawed but perhaps still lurking in the universe. This narrative theme suggests a world where humanity grapples with the void left by technology and strives to redefine what it means to be human.

    According to a report in Variety, Tabu will recur in the role of Sister Francesca and her character is described as “Strong, intelligent, and alluring, Sister Francesca leaves a lasting impression in her wake. Once a great love of the Emperor, her return to the palace strains the balance of power in the capital.”

    Originally greenlit in 2019 as Dune: The Sisterhood, the series draws inspiration from the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. Positioned 10,000 years prior to the rise of Paul Atreides, the show delves into the expansive universe of Dune, exploring the origins of the Bene Gesserit through the narrative of two Harkonnen sisters battling formidable forces threatening humanity’s future.

    The series also stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Johdi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, and Shalom Brune-Franklin in key roles. The series will premiere on November 17 on HBO and Max. In India, it will stream on Jiocinema.

  • Law vs Lawlessness: Jeet and Prosenjit Shine in ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’ Trailer

    The trailer of Netflix series Khakee: The Bengal Chapter was unveiled on March 5. Set in the backdrop of early 2000s West Bengal, the trailer promises a gripping drama of power, politics and shifting loyalties.

    Arjun Maitra AKA Jeet, appears on the scene to restore peace and justice amid Bengal’s utter lawlessness where a criminal named Shankar Barua (Bagha, played by Saswata Chatterjee), creates havoc with his reign of terror. It was not an easy terrain for Arjun Maitra to forge his way as politicians and criminals wield unchallenged power back in the day. Prosenjit plays the role of a powerful politician who is an important pawn in the power dynamics. 

    Khakee: The Bengal Chapter boasts of a promising cast including Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwik Bhowmik, Aadil Khan, Chitrangada Singh, Pooja Chopra, Aakanksha Singh, Mimoh Chakraborty and Shraddha Das in key roles.

  • Nayanthara, Madhavan & Siddharth Tackle Life’s Toughest Challenges in ‘Test’ Trailer

    The trailer of R Madhavan, Nayanthara and Siddharth’s Netflix film Test released on Tuesday. The trailer offers a glimpse of an intense drama revolving the three characters whose lives are intertwined; so are their dreams, aspirations and struggles.

    The video opens with Nayanthara introducing her husband (Madhavan) to her childhood mate (played by Siddharth). Madhavan, who is a scientist by profession, now runs a canteen, while, Siddharth breathes cricket. The trailer shows Naynathara and Madhavan’s struggles to conceive a child while balancing their professional lives. Taking a cue from the title, the characters are up for a life-altering test which will bring out their best and, perhaps, the worst.

    Cricket plays a leitmotif in the film. Test, as the title suggests, is literal and also metaphorical in the film. Siddharth’s matches on ground has repercussions in the lives of Nayanthara and Madhavan. The three characters are seen grappling with their personal choices which will have a drastic impact on their course of lives. Are they hero or villains of their choices – only time will tell.

  • Trailer Out: Emraan Hashmi Commands a Strike in Kashmir in Intense ‘Ground Zero’

    The trailer of Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero is out today. Set in 2000s Kashmir, Emraan Hashmi played the role of a BSF officer, Narendra Nath Dubey, who led the operation in which terrorist mastermind “Ghazi Baba” was killed.

    The trailer begins with terrorists attacking BSF soldiers, escalating tension in the valley. With the death of 60-70 soldiers in a quick succession, Emraan Hashmi (referred to as the best man by a superior officer) enters the scene. A Kashmir story against the terrorists – what sets this trailer apart is Emraan Hashmi’s earnest attempt to change the mindset of Kashmir, and not merely saving the land from the clutches of the terrorists.

    But when the same man (the character played by Emraan Hashmi) changes his tune and calls for a prahar (attack), something is invariably wrong in the system. He wants to see paintbrush, instead of pistol, in the hands of teenagers. But can officer Dubey fulfill his mission without firing pistols?
